A stronger internationalisation of the academy profession and the professional bachelor programmes is an important element in strengthening the quality and attraction of these education programmes. It may inspire more young people to choose a higher education. And it will ensure that the graduates are better equipped to cope in an ever more international workplace.
A key element of the internationalisation of education programmes is outbound student mobility. It is the goal that more academy profession and professional bachelor students desire and get the opportunity to go abroad as a part of their education without prolonging the duration of the study.
The internationalisation strategy sets out a number of recommendations that may contribute to more students going abroad – for example, firmly establishing the internationalisation effort in institution management, improving and targeting the information to the students, and ensuring that the organisation of the study programmes facilitate study periods abroad.
